Burn First Aid - Android App
A mobile first-aid app designed to help people understand what to do immediately after a burn and access essential first-aid information quickly.
The Idea
Burn First Aid is a mobile app created to provide simple and accessible first-aid information for people dealing with burn injuries. The goal was to make important information easy to find and understand, especially when someone needs quick guidance.
My Role
I worked on the visual and UI design of the app, creating the screens, layouts, visual elements, and overall interface. I focused on making the information clear and easy to navigate while keeping the experience simple and approachable.
Designing for Clarity
Since the app deals with information that needs to be understood quickly, I focused on clear hierarchy, readable typography, simple navigation, and an organised layout. I used visual elements, spacing, icons, and colour to help users understand the information without making the interface feel overwhelming.
The App
The app is structured around making first-aid information easy to access. I designed the key screens and flows to guide users through the information in a straightforward way, keeping the interface focused on the content rather than unnecessary visual elements.
Here, I would showcase the main app screens, highlighting the important parts of the experience rather than simply displaying every screen together.
From Design to App
I worked on translating the visual direction and UI designs into the actual mobile experience. This gave me hands-on experience in understanding how design decisions translate into a working product and how layouts, spacing, typography, and visual elements need to work together within a real app.
Live Product
Burn First Aid is available as a live mobile application on the Google Play Store.
This was an opportunity to work on something beyond a design file and see the interface become an actual product that people can access and use.
What I Learned
Working on Burn First Aid helped me understand the importance of designing with clarity and purpose. It taught me to think beyond how an interface looks and consider how quickly and easily someone can understand and use it. It was also valuable experience in taking a visual idea and seeing it become a real, working mobile product.
